“Wind provides more than half of Denmark’s power for first time”



Wind power accounted for more than half of all energy consumed in Denmark in December, according to national grid operator Energinet.dk.

The Danish government has a target of generating 50% of its energy from wind by 2020.


Denmark also has the ambitious target of having 100% of its energy requirements met by renewables by 2050. It looks like they are making great progress in getting there.
